lowcountry oyster festival

IOP real estate market

A small community of just over 4,000 residents, Isle of Palms’ real estate market is unique.  Just a few minutes of driving and a person can go from beach, to shopping and then home, again.  A few more minutes of driving and that person can be at work in Charleston.

“We’ve Just Begun to Fight.” December 7 thru February 5, 2012 at the Charleston Museum. This exhibit features uniforms worn by Charleston citizens during the second Work War. Highlights are flight jackets and Navy uniforms.

looking for dog friendly?

Isle of Palms is dog friendly!  Dogs can roam the beaches, off their leashes!  Well only from 5am to 8am April thru September and 4pm to 10 am September thru March.  But the dogs are free to roam as long as their owners follow the rules and have their leash in their hand and are within calling range of their dogs and of course clean up after them.  Enjoy the beach!

summerville market

A total of 146 new homes came into the Summerville real estate market in November.  On average, properties in Summerville only stay on the market 115 days. These homes sell faster than the 168 days that is the national average.

recession market

Real estate in the Charleston market has not been immune to the recession. This market is however beginning to climb back to its pre-recession self, sooner than other areas of the country.  There were 638 homes sold in the Charleston area in November. That’s an increase of almost 2% over the same time last year.  This trend line is certainly headed in the right direction.
