There are 7,965 homes for sale in Charleston as of September 30, 2011. There are 1,460 homes that are under contract with contingencies and 478 homes under contract with a pending status. In total there are 1938 homes that are under contract that have not yet sold yet in regards to Charleston real estate. With interest rates at historical lows now is considered a good time by many experts to buy a home.
